Born in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, Verbel has over 20 years experience as a performer, studio session musician and music producer. His wide-ranging exposure as a professional musician provided him the competence and expertise in various music styles ranging from the traditional Afro-Caribbean folklore to modern popular styles like Pop, Reggae, Electro Rock, Alternative Rock, Trip Hop, World music fusion and post-electronic era grooves.
Verbel, a graduate of architecture from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano (UJTL), applied the discipline and creativity required as an architect to his approach as a musician and producer. He brings detail, precision, and project management skills to his compositions and delivery requirements of his clients.
His ability to combine both his musical talents with architecture inspired him to further work with music as an integral element in other disciplines such as theatre, various forms of modern performance art, interactive sculptures, and 3D installations.  Each new experience has provided Verbel a wealth of understanding in working with different audiences and needs of his clients and provided an invaluable skill that is transferable when producing music for television, film, video games, interactive web and commercial productions.
